Let’s not let the beauty of art fade away
*This is a letter I wrote last year, now finding its way to my blog, lest it be forgotten.*

Dearest Reader,
It’s Friyay! After a long week of work, I’ve managed to finish early, and now, with great enthusiasm, I’m sitting down to write to you. How has your week been? I really hope it’s going well, well everything’s going, everything keeps moving, that’s the way of life, isn’t it? Just like the changing of the seasons. It’s October now, and fall is just around the corner. If you do nothing else today, take a moment to marvel at the changing colors of the leaves. The trees look gorgeous, a part of them is still green, while some parts are turning bright red to pale yellow. It’s truly a sight to behold.
Every October, I take part in a drawing challenge called Inktober. Have you heard of it? I’ve always loved sketching, and this week has been all about rushing to finish my work so I can sit down with some music and let the creative process flow. Art, in every form, is a thing of beauty. Just as I love to write, I also find joy in drawing. Inktober is all about daily drawing prompts, a challenge to create something every day for the entire month and share it with the world—or even just with one person. In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s important to pause and appreciate art, and even more important to keep creating it. Let’s not let the beauty of art fade away.
Every year, my husband and I eagerly take on this challenge together, and I always try to rope in a few friends to join us. This year, I managed to convince another friend to participate, and it’s been wonderful seeing her tap into her artistic side. I truly believe that each one of us has a hidden artist within—an imaginative spirit just waiting to be unleashed. Shouldn’t we encourage it to break free and run wild? When we show that part of ourselves, we share something deeply personal and unique with the world, a part of ourselves that no one else can replicate.
So, dear reader, if you haven’t yet explored that creative side of yourself, now is the time! Whether it’s through Inktober or another form of expression, let your imagination take flight. I’d love to hear about your artistic journey—do write to me and share your creations!
