If you have to get obsessed, then obsess over,
reading books without any breaks
walking for hours without knowing where you’re going
watching the stars and wondering how it would be like to be in space
playing with animals and taking care
obsess over loving yourself every single day.

Overhear
Deep, longing notes,
A slow melody.
Stirring emotions,
Sadly beautiful.
Picking up pace,
Hurried but serious,
Like a wave,
Rushing and reaching
Towards an unknown.
Confused thrumming of strings
Discovering and learning,
Experimenting even..
But never hesitating.
A sound of a human voice,
Calling, reaching out.
Smooth and blessed
Sounds like harmony.
A peaceful rhythm.
In Need of Music

Day 27 Inktober – Music
Put on headphones, turn up the volume and listen to whatever floats your boat.
Be it rock, instrumental, dance, hip-hop, jazz, country, or Bollywood. We all need music in our lives to remain sane.
Day 4 – Radio

Day 4 Inktober – “Radio”
It’s been a long tiring day! My sketch of a radio for Inktober did not turn out to be good, but listening to good old melodies on the radio sure did help.
In the twilight,
Holding a lantern in her hand,
She stepped out to sit beside him.
On the wooden bench
Overlooking the sea.
Together, they watched the calm waves.
There was a soft glow in the sky, a slight chill.
From the radio, a melodious tune filled the air.
They looked into each other’s battle-scarred eyes.
The sweet rhythm moved them to dance.
Slowly,
Lovingly,
Entwined in a warm embrace
They swayed like the waves
On their wooden porch.
In the soft glow of the night.

The piano played
a sweet soulful tune.
With the keys,
her feet tip-toed on the floor.
Bending and rising like a ballerina.
She flowed like a river was inside of her,
Gliding and sliding with the notes
The rhythm played
invitingly in the air.
Soon with the mystical melody,
she faded.
Calls the Piano
I heard a melodious tune
A passage of notes on the piano
Soft, smooth, and grave
It seemed like a familiar piece of music
Like the one that plays
With the chords of your heart
Like the one that arouses
Many hidden emotions
Which then come flowing out
Like a pouring rain.
