Nothing to ask but, how’re you feeling today?
Day 21 Inktober – Sleep
The best part about sleep is the position in which you wake up. You know you’ve had a good night’s rest when you end up waking like this.
Sleep, the solution to everything. Sleep tight!
Day 18 Inktober – Trap
Aware yet addicted, trapped!
Alcohol and cigarettes are injurious to health yet they are the life of all parties!
Day 10 Inktober – “Hope”
Who knew that Vitamin Sunshine would become so important? All my life I have been hiding from the harsh rays of the sun and applying sunscreen when on the beach.
Now, I run out every time I see clear blue skies where the sun is shining bright. Thanks to the Vitamin D deficiency that has taught me to embrace light for a healthier life and a positive frame of mind. Hence, this drawing of my sunlight/hope in a jar.
The mind – a dim, hazy blur.
Restless muscles, not a second of comfort.
Deprived of sleep, a walking soulless spirit of the nights.
Mornings seem dark and groggy.
Every day, a new kind of pain.
Writing in the present state,
A futile attempt.
A sad melody hummed in the air
In the hopeful season of spring
The spirit of gaiety is locked away.
The day was long and cold.
Not a soul to whisper a word or two.
“Oh how long will this go on?”
She sighed and complained
While absently stirring her pot of porridge.
Be wary, be wise
Push socialising aside
Please stay safe inside
This storm too will subside.
A sneeze, a cough.
Rises panic in the air.
It’s not you,
A certain virus is to be blamed.
There was sickness in the air.
I let out a deep sigh.
Snuggled into the sheets
and went back to sleep.
“And, there goes my weekend!”
