Dear ol’ poet in the park,
with a smile spread across the face
and hands in the air
you welcome passersby
to stop by your side for a while.
Be it sun or rain,
you’re there all day, every day.
A hope to the hopeless,
a pause for the busy,
a smile for a frown,
a joy for the moody.
When I stopped by and noticed the twinkle in your eyes
I realized that stars don’t just shine bright from afar,
they sing sweet poetic words of melody.
I took a break from formalities and sat down on the floor.
To bask in the sunlight and look up at the blue skies.
I allowed a moment for myself and let out a content sigh.
It’s been a while since I last shared my travel experiences, but I’m excited to finally write about my recent trip to Toronto, Canada. Over the course of fifteen days, I had the pleasure of staying with a friend while discovering the city’s many attractions. Planning was key, so I crafted a detailed itinerary that took into account our work schedules and included must-see landmarks and restaurants. Despite having only two weekends to spare, we made the most of our vacation by visiting many incredible destinations. Day 6 Inktober 2022: Bouquet
A source of immense happiness and joy, the best companions whether you are chilling at home or stuck in traffic, they can change your mood and make you smile, get rid of those unwanted thoughts, feelings of sadness and loneliness and take you to places never imagined, they are your mentors, your guide, your buddy to laugh and cry with and with them you make lifetime memories. Books are the best gifts you can give someone (me), just like a bouquet of flowers, they will never fail to light up your mood and your mind. Read read read, it’s all that matters, stories will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Day 4 Inktober 2022: Scallop
She walked down the busy market streets in her scallop dress, smiling and greeting at all only to be rushed and pushed around. Her desire was to be ordinary but how could she, she was a cut above the rest.
Day 3 Inktober : Bat
Look at these silly humans, their whole world has turned upside down. I’m a creature of the night, stay away, be wary of the bite. You stay in your forest, and I’ll hang out in mine.
Day 2 Inktober 2022: Scurry
The first image that immediately came to my mind when I thought of scurry was Tom and Jerry. A show we have all grown up watching and still continue to watch when we are in a mood for a hearty laugh.
What an uncomfortable feeling this is,
Restlessness, brain fog, uncertainty.
What kind of a choice is this that I need to make.
What is this guilt?
Should I find happiness in struggle?
Or live an oblivious and blissful life?
Why is it always so hard and painful to leave?
