Temperatures dropped.
Pitter-pattering rain.
Turned into tiny beads of snow.
Tapping gently on my window.
It’s all hazy.
A heaviness inside my mind.
I tried to overcome the feeling with a smile.
Smile turned into a tear.
Symmetrical ripples
In the grey cloudy sky
A lone bird swam across it.
At the cafe, we both reached out at once towards the cup of coffee placed at the counter. Our hands stopped midway, she turned and looked at me.
Our eyes locked for.. one second, two seconds, three seconds..
She quickly blinked and looked away.
I apologized and said, “Please, go ahead.”
She hesitated while reaching for the coffee.
So I said, “It’s fine, I am in no hurry.”
She lifted the cup, turned towards me again, looked into my eyes and gave me a smile.
I felt my heart stop.
She said, thank you and walked away.
From the outside it might just be another book.
On the inside there’s a whole new world.
& in those words I belong.
Dusk was falling rapidly.
Air was getting colder.
Path ahead was lonely.
No one there to hold her.
The night was cold and dark
Next morning; sunlight glistened
Like diamonds in the snow.

Every time I put my head on your shoulder,
I know that I’m home.
Who would have known
That I would sit here
Whiling away my time
Staring absently at the sky.
Sometimes a honey bee
Breaks my reverie
Sometimes I sip on my tea
Listening to chirping melodies.
Hours fly by
From daylight to twinkles in the sky
As I sit and dreamily wait
For my lover to walk through the gate.
A fallen Autumn leaf swirled up in the air.
Slowly it drifted down the lane.
A graceful glide with the gentlest wind waves.
