There’s a Story Behind Every Door.

A rustic wooden door,
An old forgotten home with broken walls and bricks,
Dried lifeless plants turned crispy and brown in broken pots.
Does anyone live inside?
It looks like it,
There’s a broomstick outside.
Probably, an old woman?
Probably, a family with too many mouths to feed?
Probably, a man who waited too long for his loved one to drop by?
Probably, a recluse content within himself?
Who knows..
What is the story,
Behind this mysterious attractive door.

RIP it

Day 23 Inktober – Rip

Ripping the RIP apart!

They decided to decorate their lawn as a graveyard for Halloween. Little did they know that the skeleton lying underneath the RIP grave would rip it apart and haunt their night.

*A cup of coffee with a chocolate chip cookie on the side.

*Turning out the lights and lighting up a few candles/fairy lights.

*Lying on the grass and looking up the sky.

*Cuddling on the couch with your fuzzy kitten/puppy.

*Sharing a blanket and watching a movie with your love.

*Lying on the bed with headphones and listening to your favorite music.

*Reading a book by the window while drinking hot chocolate.

*Staying up all night and sharing stories with your best friend.

*A cup of tea when it’s raining outside.

*Reading bedtime stories to your little ones.

*Writing a poem late at night.

*A long soak in a hot tub with scented candles.

*Sitting on your comfy armchair by the fireplace reading the daily newspaper.

Umbrella Girl

She stepped out again

when it started to rain.

She held an umbrella in her hand

& wore no slippers on her feet.

She liked to splatter,

the water on the streets

with her bare feet.

So every time it rained

People who saw her exclaimed,

“There goes the Umbrella Girl again!”

An obsessive writer

Lost in his words.

He saw many..

Long tireless days,

Sleepless nights.

Never stopping.

Lost in his words.

When the time came to stop

He did not understand

What is reality, what is life..

Until he completely lost his mind.

Unfinished Puppy Love

She came sprinting towards me.

In her twinkling tiny eyes I could sense excitement. I was stunned by her beauty, her long fluffy hair, had a lustrous sheen. Under the bright afternoon sun, it seemed like she was glistening. There was a strange kind of familiarity, I felt like she belonged with me.

Looking at her run towards me, I couldn’t help but smiled wider. She was super energetic, she rubbed against my legs, licked my fingers, and rested her head on my palm so dearly.

“Luna!” he called. I turned to look up at her parent.

He smiled kindly and said, “Isn’t she friendly?”

“Yes, very” I said and smiled back at him, but Luna wanted all of my attention and wouldn’t let me talk.

I went back to fondling her soft furry neck, I bent down and hugged her, and stroked her back affectionately.

He started walking and said, “Alright then, you have a great day!”

“Come Luna”, he said and just like that, he took Luna away from me so easily.

I shouted, “See you around!”

I turned to look back at Luna, she didn’t turn. She had already found new company, she was busy getting fondled again, this time by little kids.
