I picked up this book while browsing a bookstore at an airport. I was flying from one home to another, in a phase of my life where I was questioning and doubting my past and future. While flipping through the pages, I discovered that Lilly Singh and I share a mutual friend named Anxiety Singh. That was it—I knew I had to buy this book. I got super excited and quickly read as much as I wanted right there at the airport, but thankfully, I decided not to rush. I wanted to give this book the time it rightfully deserved because I truly do want to be a triangle.

Positive Change

Describe one positive change you have made in your life.

Practicing yoga daily has brought a positive change in my life, both physically and emotionally. I recall a time when making time for self-care amidst a demanding work schedule seemed like an unattainable feat. However, prioritizing myself has brought a happy balance into my life.

Tomorrow Will Be Better

Somebody told me –
If you are going through a difficult phase in your life,
Remember that you’re not alone.
Nobody has it easy.
Some days can feel like a burden
Like there’s no way out.
Sadness, tears, anger, frustration.
Like life is unfair for no reason at all.

Then she told me to give it time.
It’s also about giving things time,
To run their course.
For them to pass.
So you can heal.
Everything eventually gets better.
It always does and you know that it’s true.

This isn’t the first time,
You were expected to face a challenging circumstance.
This isn’t the first time you had to be brave.
You have done this before,
Then why the uncertainty now.
Like all the other times, this will pass too.
Wait for the morning
For the sun to shine with new rays of hope.
And just like that,
Your day will seem a whole lot better than yesterday.
She said with a smile.
