Day 10 Inktober – “Hope”
Who knew that Vitamin Sunshine would become so important? All my life I have been hiding from the harsh rays of the sun and applying sunscreen when on the beach.
Now, I run out every time I see clear blue skies where the sun is shining bright. Thanks to the Vitamin D deficiency that has taught me to embrace light for a healthier life and a positive frame of mind. Hence, this drawing of my sunlight/hope in a jar.
Day 8 Inktober – “Teeth”
When you’re hungry and your inner tiger unleashes its fury.
Day 5 Inktober – “Blade”
When I saw Blade as day five’s Inktober prompt, the first thing that came to my mind was Shardblade. The Stormlight Archive is one of the best fantasy book series and Kaladin is my favorite character! This sketch is the chapter art for Kaladin and I always wanted to attempt drawing this.
In difficult situations I always think of Kaladin as he gives me strength, courage, and hope to overcome my fears.
Sometimes fictional characters become your soul and sole motivation. Thank you Brandon Sanderson for giving me Kaladin. 🖤
Day 4 Inktober – “Radio”
It’s been a long tiring day! My sketch of a radio for Inktober did not turn out to be good, but listening to good old melodies on the radio sure did help.
Day 3 Inktober – “Bulky”
Always brains over brawn, but at times strong arms can make me weak in the knees.
Day 2 Inktober – “Wisp”
In her dreams, her burning desires come alive.
Perched on the branch,
Mr. Cat watched the changing colors of the sky,
With its emerald eyes.
The black and white version of the sketch looks cleaner but the colored version highlights the imperfections, just to make things more believable and achievable.
Miss Kitten is embracing the winter season in style by wrapping a cashmere blue scarf around her fluffy fur. Her cheeks go pink every time the cold wind bothers her.
She stepped out again
when it started to rain.
She held an umbrella in her hand
& wore no slippers on her feet.
She liked to splatter,
the water on the streets
with her bare feet.
So every time it rained
People who saw her exclaimed,
“There goes the Umbrella Girl again!”
You know life is perfect when there’s a stack of books and a cup of tea by your side.
