Arms in the Air

Day 9 Inktober – “Throw”

For dance was her expression of freedom. Moving smoothly like a breeze, sometimes flowing vigorously like the waves. Sliding and gliding, swinging and turning. Always energetic, always having fun. Her final dance move ended with her head held high. And every time she threw the ruffles of her skirt in the air in the passion of her dance.

Fancy Gardens

Day 7 Inktober – “Fancy”

She loved watching the birds in her garden but every time she tried to get close to them, they would fly away.

Every day, she would attempt by going a step closer. Alas, they would fly away.

Some days, she would make sure the birds watched her filling their empty water bowls and bird feeder, yet they never came close.

So, she turned herself into a fancy garden and was never alone again.

Day 5 – Blade

Day 5 Inktober – “Blade”

When I saw Blade as day five’s Inktober prompt, the first thing that came to my mind was Shardblade. The Stormlight Archive is one of the best fantasy book series and Kaladin is my favorite character! This sketch is the chapter art for Kaladin and I always wanted to attempt drawing this.

In difficult situations I always think of Kaladin as he gives me strength, courage, and hope to overcome my fears.

Sometimes fictional characters become your soul and sole motivation. Thank you Brandon Sanderson for giving me Kaladin. 🖤

In the twilight,
Holding a lantern in her hand,
She stepped out to sit beside him.
On the wooden bench
Overlooking the sea.
Together, they watched the calm waves.
There was a soft glow in the sky, a slight chill.
From the radio, a melodious tune filled the air.
They looked into each other’s battle-scarred eyes.
The sweet rhythm moved them to dance.
Slowly,
Lovingly,
Entwined in a warm embrace
They swayed like the waves
On their wooden porch.
In the soft glow of the night.
